We decided to move away from our phones and emails completely as the suspense was unbearable and give ourselves a well deserved break. We packed up the kids and headed off on our annual kiwi camping holiday. With the car and trailer loaded to overflowing (reminiscing about those holidays where a bag each was sufficient) we headed down to Glendhu Bay near Wanaka to join around 30 of our friends and family for a week of boating, bathing and beverages. And while we were down there enjoying the mental break from planning and strategising about the build, we received THE CALL that all consents had been granted and we were good to go. It was all I could do to stop Mike packing things up then and there and bailing on the holiday.
